Video: The Data Scientist Shortage

Last week, I had the chance to chat with Todd Nevins. He’s a co-founder and director of marketing and media relations at data science job board icrunchdata. Nevins’ background in both recruiting and Information Technology has provided him an interesting vantage point of the rapidly-changing industry, so we sat down to discuss the biggest job trends in Big Data.

In part one of our two-part series, we cover:

  • The increased segmentation of jobs within the Big Data market;
  • How businesses are acquiring top data science professionals today; and
  • Why companies are looking for data scientists with excellent business acumen.
